I can’t believe Christmas is at the end of the week! I feel like I just put out my decorations. I know everyone in blog land had their home tours up weeks ago, but I still wanted to share a few photos of my home before the season is over.
I really didn’t too much this year as far as decorating. I have tried to keep it pretty simple. One area I like to decorate for the different seasons is my open kitchen shelves. By swapping out a few dishes and adding a little green and red, it is now ready for Christmas.
My dining room looks so pretty all set up for Christmas. I wish I could leave it set up all the time.
If you would like to see more of my tablescape, check out my red and green Christmas tablescape post.
I used cranberries a lot in this years decorating. They are super cheap and add a beautiful red accent.
While I do have a gorgeous fake Christmas tree, we opted to cut our tree this year. You can read all about that fun family outing in my creative Christmas tree container post.
Our command center even became Christmafied this year. (No, that isn’t a word… but it should be.)
I had my children write out their Christmas lists this year and I then attached them to the clipboards.
The cute little reindeer was a Target find. I just love him!
I had big plans to go all out this year with my decorating, but to be honest, I just wasn’t in the mood. And that’s okay. I did what I wanted to and left the rest boxed up for next year.
I’m trying to find joy this Christmas season and to stay focused on the real reason for the season, Christ’s birth.
