Hello, and welcome to February! Weren’t we just celebrating the new year?!
My friends and I have teamed up again to bring you some fun Valentines Day projects made entirely out of re-purposed junk.
I recent discovered the awesomeness of puzzle art, so I decided to give it a go on this project and make a fun garland.
I began by placing all of my puzzle pieces on a towel to be spray painted. I went with red, white and black. (This is a great way to re-purpose those puzzles that have missing pieces.)
While my puzzle pieces were drying, I cut out six X’s and six O’s out of a cereal box and spray painted them black.
To make your garland, simply hot glue your puzzle pieces onto the x’s and o’s, and then hot glue the letters onto a piece of twine or ribbon.
I added a few yarn pompom’s to my garland and taped it to my TV cabinet.
Not only was this project super easy, it was free and soooo cute!
I went ahead and decked out the wall behind my TV with puzzle hearts and a few free printables.
Our living room is now ready for Valentines Day!
I hope I’ve inspired you to use what you already have to create a beautiful space in your home for Valentines Day. Remember, decorating doesn’t have to cost a fortune, like in my case, it can be totally FREE!
