You guys know I am all about making life simple around here. As a busy mom, I just can’t justify spending hours upon hours setting a dining table. I do however enjoy getting out my pretty dishes from time to time and setting up a beautiful tablescape. I went with all natural and neutral elements to create my simple Thanksgiving table setting and It turned out to be just perfect.
I kept the tablecloth simple by using a throw blanket. I love the warmth it brings to the table, and I didn’t even have to iron it. How easy is that?
For the centerpiece, I used fresh cuttings from my plum tree and also cut a few blooms from my autumn joy setumn. I just randomly stuck them into a few small jars in one of my favorite little wooden boxes.
I added a few colorful leaves down the center of the table to act as a table-runner.
Because I wanted the table to be bright and cheery, I went with all white dishes and clear glassware.
I just used our everyday silverware because remember, the idea was simple here. To dress up the table a bit, I used some cute vintage napkins that I picked up on Ebay for just a few dollars.
If you are having more than four guests for Thanksgiving dinner, additional table settings can easily be added.
Keep in mind, you’ll want the centerpiece to be low so you don’t block out your guest on the other side of the table. I also recommend cutting your branches just before guest arrive so they don’t get droopy.
I hope I’ve inspired you to use what you already have to create a beautiful Thanksgiving table setting.
From my home to yours, I wish you a Thanksgiving full of joy, gratitude, friends, family and love.
